Roxas City puts up ‘sanitation tents’ to fight coronavirus

first_imgRoxas City – The city government here,in partnership with the United Architects Association-Capiz, set up sixsanitation tents to boost safety protocols against the spread of thecoronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic. Roxas City’s sanitation tents are one of the ways to curb the spread of the coronavirus disease 2019 here. Each tent has misting, hand wash and footbath areas to sanitize individuals who pass through it. ROXAS CITY COMMUNICATIONS GROUP “Four sanitation tents were establishedat the entrances of the Teodoro Arcenas Trade Center while two are at the cityhall,” Roxas City Communications Group information officer Michelle Oropiosaid. Each sanitation tent features misting, handwash and footbath areas to sanitize individuals who pass through it. The sanitationtents were assembled starting last March 31 in the two places of the city wherepeople usually go to. As of 12 p.m. of April 5 also, this cityhas 13 active persons under investigation. Three of them are at a hospitalwhile the 10 others are under home quarantine. center_img According to the Capiz Provincial HealthOffice, on the other hand, this city has recorded two confirmed cases of theCOVID-19 – total of 4 in this province as of 12 p.m. of April 5. The first confirmed case of the virushere was a 60-year-old patient who died on March 29 at a hospital while waitingfor laboratory results of her specimen, while the second one is currently onhospital quarantine but is in good condition.
