Soule Monde To Celebrate Release Of Sophomore Album At The Hamilton In D.C.

first_imgRay Paczkowski and Russ Lawton are well-known as the dynamic duo that has been providing the groove for Trey Anastasio Band for many years now. Their own act, Soule Monde, is avant funk at its best, with plenty of fluidity and ultra-inspired improvisation. With the release of their sophomore album, Must Be Nice, just last week, the duo is heading to Washington D.C.’s The Hamilton Live on Thursday, March 17th – which also happens to be St. Patrick’s Day (purchase tickets here). With Lawton on drums and Paczkowski on the Hammond B3, you can expect some Vulcan mind meld type music, as these two have a deep musical bond that goes way out into deep space. Both have extensive resumes as individual artists, having played with Anastasio, Santana, Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews, Victor Wooten, and many more over the course of their careers. You can get a taste of the new album with the official video for the new song, “Rocket,” below. The Hamilton Live, named after Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, is one of D.C.’s most exceptional venues, located just two blocks from The White House. The venue offers a delicious menu for patrons to enjoy prior to the show over in the restaurant, or during the show.Tickets for Soule Monde at The Hamilton in D.C. are currently on sale and can be purchased here.
